Scholarship Terms
One Mainstreet Member will be awarded up to a $500 scholarship annually; selected by Mainstreet’s Executive Committee. Applicants selected will be required to register and pay any applicable registration fees upfront for the approved scholarship event or membership. Applicants will be required to submit a reimbursement request with receipt of registration to receive allocated scholarship amount within thirty (30) days of payment.

- The deadline to return applications is Friday, January 12
- Member must complete the application and prepare a brief essay
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by Mainstreet's Executive Committee. Applicants will be notified if they are selected by January 19. Applicants are eligible to reapply for this Scholarship two (2) years after receiving assistance through this program. Scholarship funds may be drawn until exhausted but may not exceed the maximum award of up to $500 per applicant. Scholarship funds must be used by September 30. Any unused funds will be returned to the Mainstreet Young Leaders in Real Estate Scholarship Fund for use by other applicants.
About the Scholarship
Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® created this Scholarship Fund to make it possible for a Mainstreet Member who is an aspiring leader to attend a State or National REALTOR® association event. This Scholarship is valid for any Illinois REALTORS® or National Association of REALTORS® event including but not limited to Illinois REALTORS® Capitol Conference, Illinois REALTORS® Spring Conference & Expo, NAR Mid-Year Meetings and the NAR Conference & Expo. Scholarship may also be used towards membership and events held by industry organizations like Inman and Allied Partners such as LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, Asian Real Estate Association of America, Association of South Asian Real Estate Professionals, National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, National Association of Real Estate Brokers and Women’s Council of REALTORS®.
